Everyone can be happy now, I'm actually posting...

Those of you who I haven't talked to or who my mom hasn't talked to, or my sisters haven't talked to, or my grandma hasn't talked to, or my dad hasn't talked to, or my brothers haven't talked to, or my fiancé hasn't...oops I said it!!! :) that's right everyone I'm engaged to this wonderfully amazing woman standing next to me in this picture. I just love her to death and am so FREAKIN excited to spend the rest of our lives and then some, lots of some, together! What a blessing she is in my life and I consider myself to be the luckiest guy around. I know it's cheesy and corny or what have you but she truly does complete me and I'm happier everyday I spend with her and get to know her more and more. Amy(Nicole not Nichole) if you somehow see this know that I LOVE YOU and always will... ooohhhhh tender!!! November 21st will be a very special day!!!

Kristen's Cancer

Kristen is an absolutely amazing person. A person so full of love and kindness beauty and strength. She has been a rock for so many people and has touched so many lives. Now WE have the chance to return the love that she has always shown to us. There have been many of you that have asked what you can do to help Kristen while she is fighting cancer, and so, here's your answer. We are having a yard sale/fundraiser to help raise awareness about Lymphoma and to help Kristen with any medical bills and expenses that may come up in the future. In addition to the money that we raise for Kristen, we will also be donating a portion of the proceeds to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

We could really use your help with donations or help getting ready.

We are in need of help in the following areas:

-Yard Sale donations
-Making/hanging signs
-Food-(think bake sale)
-Sorting and pricing before the sale
-Help during the sale

Also, if you have any service that you can donate for the sale (example: photography, haircuts, tutoring, computer training or ANYTHING else you can think of) please let us know so that we can sell that at the yard sale too.

If you would like to donate but can't make it to the yard sale, we will be setting up a paypal account in the near future so please check back.

For all questions or information about how you can donate, please email us at

kickkristenscancer@gmail.com

Thank you all for you love and support of Kristen. It means more than you will ever know.

-Team Kristen

An update finally....

So Lisi gave me a hard time because I haven't updated my blog since March 26th! Yeah, I know, kind of a long time! So not much has changed in my life except for the fact that my dad and I went to Brazil for a couple days in April which was fun!

New Adventures to be had...

My friend Graham and I had our first experience this year with the awesome adventure of rollerblading! We had talked about how we wanted to do this this summer and it actually came true, this was our trip down to Del Taco...there should be other videos to come and more friends to join our brigade!!!

Church influence...

On the AP(Associated Press) website they have many photographs that they have taken and I thought this one was interesting especially with the caption. It said..."A statue is seen against a cloudy sky and a partial solar eclipse in Bogota, Colombia, Friday, April 8, 2005. (AP Photo/Fernando Vergara) **EFE OUT**"

Interesting I thought...And if you're wondering, yes there is a temple in Bogotá! Which I think is pretty obvious with the picture.

I couldn't really add a ton of pictures and make it work like I wanted to but here are some of my pictures from Guatemala for those of you who didn't ever get a chance to see them. I went last summer with 2 buddies of mine and it was AMAZING!!! One of the best experiences of my life.

1. Boat on the Carribean side of Guatemala.
2. Me and a wall...
3. My little princess.
4. Crazy waterfall thingy that doesn't come up for a good 1/2 mile or so...

This video was taken at 3 in the morning as the jungle was waking up. You can hear the animals wake up and in a sense take their places. Hence the noises you hear...

Funny thing is those noises that sound like tigers or something are monkeys about the size of volleyballs...crazy I know, especially since you can hear them from so far away!

Amanda was complaining about Stace not having a funny picture so whether or not this is a smart idea I'm putting this up for her to see! This may easily start a chain of blackmale or something but I couldn't let Stacey not be a part of our family fun face set she put up! Thanks to Skype we have this blessed photo!

Grandpa Widtsoe

Oh yeah, we went to a fireside by Truman G. Madsen on sunday and he said some really cool things about John A. He talked about how wonderful of a man he was and also how great of an example he was and is. Of course after the talk I pulled a mom(Kari) and went up and talked to him. I told him that John A. was my great great grandfather. He told me something very interesting that i didn't know. Being that Grandpa Widtsoe had lost 5 children he felt the need to help the youth so he gave 10% to the organizations of the youth of the church. How cool is that? Anyway, there's the mom inside of me...blog blog blog, bloggety bloggin blog!

School...

Well for those of you who read this I figured I'd let you all know about my life as far as school is concerned. You all know I work with Scrapbooking stuff due the pen/marker epidemic on Christmas so I figure I don't need to talk about that...
Yes I am down here at good ol BYU...Eric graduated last semester so I took his spot! Things are going really well, I love it quite a bit. At the same time it's kind of kicking my trash, whether that's due to my working 30+ hours a week I'm not really sure. I like it though, I like the fact that I'm super busy and have random hours to breath for a moment. I'll be honest, I don't really know exactly what I'm going into. I've thought a lot about graduating in Sociology and going into the Social Psychology graduate program and see what happens there. Who knows? The whole law school idea is even somewhat tempting the further my education goes. I did just take a 320 question test about interests, likes, and things I could see myself doing that supposedly will help me make up my mind. I'm not necessarily in a huge hurry to decide but I need to figure it out by the end of the summer.
I'm really trying hard this semester to get good grades so I can keep my scholarship. I sure hope it all works out because it helps so much. I don't fully understand the importance of an education yet but I hear it's good to get one so I am. I'm sure I'll see times in my life that I will look back and be grateful I did this. Until that day I'll keep movin along and continuing with a phrase I use to describe life...Just trials followed by blessings, trials followed by blessings!!!

Yes I have a blog...

So Lisi at our last family shindig asked why I don't have a blog. I had no answer! So at 11:30 at night instead of a) going to bed, b)reading my scriptures, or c) doing my homework I've elected to figure this stuff out and see what I can do... So here goes nothing...I left my camera at Stacey's so we'll see what I can pictures I can put on here and also how long it takes me to put stuff up!
